Mr. Mafera oversees the commercial appraisal division and has almost 30 years experience in eminent domain appraisal which is important due to the unique issues involved in takings. This involves applicable law for which the appraiser must consider in the appraisal. He has testified in many Eminent Domain jury trials in his career, as well as numerous depositions, Order of Taking hearings, and has been accepted as an expert witness in many Florida counties. At RE Analysts, we understand the importance of staying current on condemnation appraisal issues and we keep updated on case laws that are specifically related to eminent domain. Over the years we have conducted numerous special studies relating to various issues commonly involved in eminent domain valuations. These studies have been performed in various counties in Florida and provide valuable insight. Appraisals have involved takings for new streets, widening of existing streets, expressways, conservation land, airport expansion, public parks, and easements. Many of the projects have involved partial takings from a variety of urban properties which required complex valuations. |
